A free program to control your webcam, take shots and edit the images.

Although the purpose of this program isn't immediately obvious just from its name, RGS-Avacam is actually a complete program to manage your webcam, with a very intuitive and friendly user interface. From it you can open the screenshots you take with your webcam, edit them and even print them out.

Among other functions, RGS-Avacam has an AutoSave function that lets you take a screenshot at fixed time intervals, for example automatically every X seconds.

Each of the shots taken with RGS-Avacam can be saved in JPG or BMP formats, and you can even define the quality of the JPG. Other possibilities of the program are full screen views of the webcam, and the option to use RGS-Avacam with more than one video device.

This RGS-Avacam program can be used with ANY type of video device (not just webcams), you can view multiple webcams/video devices, it has a motion detection feature which allows you to save an image automatically when movement is detected, it includes an avi creator wizard which allows you to create AVI video files from jpgs or bmps, etc. It is very easy to download, install and then use, through its friendly and intuitive user interface.
